FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long have you been taking photos?
For fun? Always. Professionally? Since 2005. I began photographing objects for the anthropology department at the Field Museum in Chicago, an extraordinary experience for the beginning of my career. Since then, I have been fortunate to have kept a steady flow of museum work and commercial clients.
Do I need to be located near San Jose to be a client?
You don’t need to be located in San Jose, in fact, many of my clients are located throughout the country. We’ll set up a phone consultation so that we’re all on the same page as to your needs and vision. Then, when your boxes arrive, we’ll check all the products to make sure they’ve arrived safely and in good condition. Once we’re finished, you’ll have a look at the images through a private online gallery before everything is shipped back.
And if I’m local to the Bay Area?
Give us a call or send an email and we’ll coordinate an appointment. We can even pick up your products if we’re traveling through your area.
What is your turnaround time?
Usually about 3 days after we receive your product, you’ll be invited to an online gallery for proofing the shots. This is the typical turnaround time for a simple setup (such as a clean white background). Otherwise, the time will vary depending on the complexity of the shoot or for a large quantity of products. I will be happy to give you a realistic timeline. We like to keep things moving around here!
How are the images delivered?
The final images are JPG and will be delivered as a download through a private gallery. Need another format? No problem, we will be happy to meet your specific file format needs.
Who owns the rights?
As the photographer, I hold the ownership of the images. However, the license covers most typical uses of the photos such as web, marketing, catalogs, etc. The license does not cover a transfer of rights or permission to sell the images to a third party.
What are your payment options?
Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & PayPal
For large continuous jobs we’ll set up a retainer based on the needs of your company.
How much does it cost?
Product photography: For a single image with a white background, the cost is $20. However, please request a quote so we can be more specific with the type of project you have in mind. The price per object goes down based on the quantity of photos. Please send an email for more info.
For other types of photos: Portraits, editorial, photo illustrations, etc. please request a quote.
